Founded in 1979, Kaushik Ashram stands as a beacon of gratitude for those who dedicated their lives to serving the nation. What began with a generous donation from Late Shri Dadasaheb Apte has grown into a meaningful sanctuary of care and dignity.
"The facility was established on the principle that those who have served selflessly deserve to be cared for with equal dedication and respect."
With support from luminaries like Late Shri Babasaheb Purandare, we have continuously evolved our services to meet the changing needs of our residents. Many respected leaders have benefited from our care, including former Sarsanghachalaks of RSS.
Today, we envision a modernized facility that expands our capacity to serve more workers while maintaining the highest standards of care and comfort.

Shri Dadasaheb Apte - Our inspiration and guiding light
1979
A foundation built on gratitude and service.
Growth
Late Shri Dadasaheb Apte (the founding General Secretary of Vishwa Hindu Parishad) donated his personal property situated at a prime locality of Pune, comprising of a plot of land admeasuring 9000 square feet and a house admeasuring 1500 square feet constructed thereupon, for this project.
Late Shri Babasaheb Purandare conducted a series of lectures on the life of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and collected funds required to set-up the facilities. Many self-less workers have benefitted from this project till date, including the previous Sarsanghachalaks late Shri Balasaheb Deoras ji and late Shri Rajendra Singhji.
Today
The facility is operating from this location ever since.
